Fire crews in Kitchener are investigating an early morning blaze at A Better Tent City housing shelter on Ardelt Avenue.
Emergency responders were called just after 5:30 a.m. on Friday to reports of a fire in the cabin village. Investigators believe the fire began on the exterior of one unit before spreading to nearby structures.
Kitchener fire officials say three units were affected in total. One was destroyed, while the other two sustained significant damage to both the buildings and their contents. No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.
