A three-alarm fire at an antique shop in Toronto’s Leaside neighbourhood sent thick smoke across parts of the city’s east end on Wednesday evening.

Toronto Fire Services said crews were dispatched to 10 Canvarco Road shortly after 7:40 p.m. Multiple units responded and brought the intense blaze under control.

Firefighters established a command post and remained at the scene to check for hot spots and ensure the fire was fully extinguished.

Toronto paramedics confirmed that no patients were transported to hospital. Officials have not provided further details about the cause of the fire or the extent of the damage.
