Firefighters responded to a townhouse fire in Barrhaven early Wednesday morning, arriving to find the second floor fully engulfed in flames.
The call came in just before 1:00 a.m. for a home on the 1000 block of Parnian Private. On arrival, crews saw black smoke and flames spreading from the second floor, including a porch fire extending to the third floor. Firefighters quickly doused the blaze while teams conducted two searches of the home, confirming no one was inside.
The fire was brought under control about an hour after it was reported. Victim services assisted the residents, and a fire investigator was called in to determine the cause.
