Fire crews in Sault Ste. Marie responded early Saturday morning to a residential blaze that caused extensive damage to multiple structures.

Fire services say the fire broke out shortly before 5 a.m. at a property in the 100 block of Third Line East. When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from a home, a detached garage, and a vehicle parked in the driveway.

Firefighters spent several hours bringing the blaze under control before it was fully contained. No injuries were reported.

Investigators were unable to enter the home due to the extent of the structural damage, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The residence, garage, and vehicle were all heavily damaged, with nearby structures also affected by heat exposure.
