Firefighters responded to a backyard blaze in the east end of Ottawa on Sunday afternoon.
Ottawa Fire Services said multiple 911 calls came in around 1:24 p.m. reporting a fire behind a townhome on Maxime Street, just south of Highway 174.
Crews arrived to find a gazebo and patio furniture fully on fire, with flames beginning to spread to a nearby fence. Additional firefighters were brought in to help contain the situation, and the fire was extinguished within about 10 minutes.
The quick response prevented the blaze from reaching neighbouring homes. No injuries were reported, and the cause is still under investigation.
