Fire crews in Muskoka were recognized Saturday for quickly containing a vehicle fire and preventing it from spreading to nearby property.

The Muskoka Lakes Fire Department says Seguin firefighters responded to a commercial spray foam truck fire on Rosseau Lake Road 3 earlier in the day. The vehicle was completely destroyed, with damage estimated at about $80,000.

Thanks to a rapid response, crews were able to stop the flames from reaching a nearby 6,000-square-foot cottage. No injuries or displacement were reported.
