A vehicle fire briefly disrupted traffic on Highway 417 in Ottawa on Tuesday afternoon.
Fire crews responded just after 4 p.m. to the westbound lanes near Parkdale Avenue, where a vehicle caught fire. As a result, two right lanes and the shoulder were temporarily closed.
Firefighters quickly put out flames coming from the front of the vehicle, and the damaged car was later towed from the scene. The closures lasted about half an hour before traffic resumed.
No injuries were reported, and paramedics were not required at the scene.
