A late-night house fire on Todd Lane in LaSalle caused damage to two rooms of a home but resulted in no injuries.
Emergency crews responded around 10 p.m. Thursday and found the homeowners were away when the fire broke out. Officials confirmed the residence was equipped with functioning smoke alarms, and firefighters successfully contained the blaze to the main floor.
Investigators are continuing to examine the incident, while the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
