A fire involving several e-bikes broke out in a detached shed in Toronto’s west end on Wednesday afternoon.

Toronto Fire Services said crews responded shortly after 2:30 p.m. to a property near Roncesvalles Avenue and The Queensway after reports of smoke coming from a structure behind a home.

Firefighters arrived to find the laneway shed fully engulfed in flames. Inside, crews discovered the burned remains of at least three e-bikes and worked to secure the damaged lithium-ion batteries believed to be connected to the fire.

Officials said the blaze was contained to the shed and did not spread to nearby structures. No injuries were reported. Toronto Fire has also notified its investigation team to examine the incident further.
