A garage fire in Chatham on Wednesday evening caused an estimated $250,000 in damage. Emergency crews from Stations 1 and 2 were dispatched to a property on Grande River Lane at approximately 6:30 p.m.
Firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, preventing it from spreading beyond the garage, where two vehicles were parked at the time. No injuries were reported, and investigators have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
