A 16-year-old from North Bay has been charged with impaired driving after Ontario Provincial Police responded to a vehicle found in a ditch along Highway 63.

The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on July 1 when officers on patrol discovered the vehicle off the eastbound side of the highway. During their interaction with the driver, police observed signs of alcohol impairment, leading to the teen’s arrest and transport to the North Bay OPP detachment for additional testing.

The youth now faces several impaired driving charges. Police also imposed an immediate 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and the vehicle was seized and impounded for seven days.
