A 25-year-old motorcyclist from North York was killed in a late-night crash on Highway 407 in Oakville.
Ontario Provincial Police responded just before midnight to reports of a downed motorcycle in the eastbound lanes near the Highway 403 ramp. The rider, who was the only person involved, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators believe speed may have contributed to the collision. The eastbound lanes between Trafalgar Road and Highway 403 were closed for several hours during the investigation before reopening early in the morning.
