Foggy conditions created dangerous driving conditions north of the Greater Toronto Area on Saturday, leading to a number of collisions reported by the Ontario Provincial Police.

One crash involving multiple vehicles occurred just before 10 a.m. on Eldon Road between Quaker Road and Skyline Road in Oakwood. Police said poor visibility played a role in the incident. Minor injuries were reported, and the road reopened before noon.

Later in the afternoon, Highway 9 was shut down for about an hour between 15th Side Road and 12th Concession Road after several crashes were reported in the area, also linked to limited visibility. The highway reopened around 2:30 p.m., with minor injuries reported.

Shortly before 3 p.m., another collision was reported at the intersection of Yonge Street/County Road 27 and Flos Road 8. One person was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. That area was closed for roughly 90 minutes before reopening.
