Five people have been displaced after a house fire in Stittsville on Thursday evening.
Ottawa Fire Services responded to a home on Fernbank Road, southwest of Stittsville Main Street, shortly before 7 p.m. after the residence was reported to be fully engulfed in flames.
Everyone inside managed to escape safely, and no injuries were reported. Additional firefighting resources were brought in as crews worked to contain the blaze.
Firefighters conducted two searches of the home before declaring the fire under control around 8:17 p.m. Victim services were also called to assist the affected family.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
