A garage fire at a home in southeast Barrie on Saturday afternoon forced a quick emergency response but left residents unharmed.
Fire crews were called to a property on Trillium Crescent after homeowners noticed flames inside the garage. Multiple trucks attended, and firefighters were able to bring the situation under control quickly.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire and the full extent of the damage remain unclear. Officials also confirmed that the Ontario Fire Marshal will not be investigating.
While the fire was contained, smoke spread into the house, and the two occupants may need to stay elsewhere temporarily.
