A man is dead and three others injured after a vehicle allegedly hit two pedestrians near Square One in Mississauga on Saturday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at Burnhamthorpe Road West and Kariya Drive just before 10:30 a.m. Peel paramedics confirmed that a man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene, while a woman in her 20s was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The vehicle’s occupants, both in their 50s, were also hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Peel police stated that the vehicle remained at the scene and the intersection is closed for investigation. Drivers are advised to avoid the area.
