A fatal multi-vehicle crash on Feb. 12 has left one person dead and two others hospitalized on Highway 11 near Kenogamisis Dam Road.
The collision was reported around 5:30 p.m. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where one person was pronounced dead. Two others were taken to hospital with injuries, according to the Ontario Provincial Police.
The investigation is being led by the Greenstone detachment, with support from the OPP’s traffic incident management and enforcement team.
As a result of the crash, Highway 11 remains closed between Hearst and Nipigon. Highway 631 is also shut down from Hornepayne to Highway 11 while authorities continue to manage the scene and investigate.
