An 84-year-old North Huron resident has died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision earlier this month in Huron East.
The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. on Feb. 17 along North Line, north of Hydro Line Road. Emergency crews, including police, fire, and paramedics, arrived to find a heavily damaged pickup truck and passenger car.
The sedan’s driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital in London. A passenger in the sedan and the pickup truck driver sustained minor injuries.
North Line was shut down between Hydro Line Road and Summerhill Road for several hours as officers investigated the scene. The roadway reopened at approximately 6 p.m.
Police reported Thursday Feb. 26 that the elderly sedan driver passed away on Feb. 20. The cause of the collision remains under investigation, and Huron County OPP is asking anyone with information to come forward.
