An 80-year-old man has died following a head-on crash near Clarington on Sunday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police say two SUVs collided in the northbound lanes of Highway 35/115, south of Concession Road 3. One of the drivers, a Clarington resident, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second driver was taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators have not yet determined what caused the collision. Northbound lanes of the highway between Highway 2 and Concession Road 3 were closed for several hours while police conducted their investigation.
