One person has died and another suffered minor injuries following a collision between an SUV and a commercial truck in Thames Centre Wednesday afternoon.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to the crash shortly before 1 p.m. on Dundas Street, just west of Fairview Road. The SUV driver, a 40-year-old London resident, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and was later pronounced dead. The driver of the commercial straight truck sustained minor injuries.
The impact caused the truck to leave the roadway and hit several vehicles at a used car dealership on the north side of Dundas Street.
Dundas Street remains closed between Shaw Road and Heritage Road while police investigate. Fairview Road is also affected, with closures expected to remain in place through the evening.
