A motorcycle crash in Springwater early Thursday morning left one person hospitalized and another facing charges. The single-vehicle accident occurred around 4 a.m. at the Highway 26/27 split, when the motorcycle, traveling at high speeds, lost control.

The two people on the bike—a man and a woman—were involved in the crash. The woman suffered minor injuries and was taken to the hospital, while the male driver, a man in his 40s from Wasaga Beach, was unharmed.

The motorcycle operator was charged with dangerous driving, driving while suspended, and driving without insurance. The area was temporarily closed for investigation but has since reopened.
