A 36-year-old driver from Brampton is facing several charges after a three-vehicle collision involving a dump truck at a rural intersection in Erin.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police, the crash occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Trafalgar Road and Wellington Road 124, located northwest of Brampton. The collision involved a dump truck, an SUV, and a four-door sedan.
One person suffered minor injuries and was treated following the incident.
Police allege the Brampton driver failed to stop for a red light, contributing to the crash. As a result, the individual has been charged with careless driving, failing to stop at a red light, and failing to properly complete a required daily vehicle inspection report.
The accused is expected to appear before the Provincial Offences Court in Guelph at a future date.
