One person was left critically injured following a wheelchair fire in east Windsor early Friday morning. Windsor fire officials said the incident occurred in the 3100 block of Meadowbrook Lane and involved a person using oxygen who was smoking while seated in a wheelchair with an oxygen tank.
The individual was outside a building when the fire started and was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. No damage was reported to the nearby building, and the investigation remains ongoing.
