A driver is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a single-vehicle crash in Newmarket on Wednesday morning.
York Regional Police responded to the collision just after 9:30 a.m. at Queen and Prospect streets. The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was transported to hospital, though the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
Queen Street is closed between Charles Street and Pleasantview Avenue, and Prospect Street is closed between Grace and Wellington streets. Police say the closures are expected to remain in place for several hours.
