A fatal crash in Kawartha Lakes claimed the life of one driver on Saturday morning, according to provincial police. The collision occurred on Highway 35 between Highway 7A and Telecom Road and involved a passenger vehicle and a cargo van.
The car’s driver died at the scene, while the van driver was taken to hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The affected section of Highway 35, which was shut down between Highway 7A and Ballyduff Road, has since reopened to traffic.
