One person is dead and two others are in hospital following a collision involving a dump truck, a tractor trailer, and a car in Newmarket on Wednesday morning. Emergency crews responded to the crash at Davis Drive West and Dufferin Street shortly after 10 a.m.
York Regional Police confirmed one person died at the scene, while two others were taken to hospital—one with serious injuries and the other with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains unknown, and police have not confirmed which vehicle the deceased was in.
All three vehicles sustained significant damage, with debris scattered across the road. Road closures remain in place as the investigation continues.
