London police are investigating after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision Monday evening.

The incident occurred around 5:15 p.m. at the intersection of Wharncliffe Road North and Oxford Street West. Police say the pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver involved stayed at the scene. The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine what happened.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area between 5 and 5:30 p.m. and may have witnessed the crash or captured video footage to contact investigators.
