A 57-year-old Waterloo man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after a motorcycle crash in Huntsville on Friday evening.
The single-vehicle collision happened on Brunel Road, near Hillcrest Drive, at about 5:30 p.m., according to police. Emergency crews, including officers, paramedics and firefighters, attended the scene.
The injured rider was initially taken to a nearby hospital before being transferred to a trauma centre in the Toronto area for further treatment.
Brunel Road was shut down in both directions for several hours while investigators examined the crash site.
The investigation is continuing.
