A serious collision on the Gardiner Expressway in Etobicoke has left one person hospitalized in life-threatening condition.
Emergency services responded just after 4 p.m. to reports of a crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle near Islington Avenue. Paramedics transported an adult to a trauma centre with critical injuries.
Police confirmed the driver of the other vehicle stayed at the scene following the collision. The circumstances leading up to the crash are still being investigated.
Lane restrictions have been put in place on the eastbound Gardiner as authorities continue their work, and motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
