A person was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a vehicle was discovered in Lake Ontario near Ashbridges Bay on Wednesday afternoon.
Toronto Fire said crews were called just after 2 p.m. to the area near the water treatment plant at 9 Leslie Street for a water rescue. Upon arrival, they located a vehicle in the water and found one person inside. The individual was removed and transferred to paramedics for assessment.
Toronto police said officers were initially dispatched for an unknown trouble call and have not released further details. It remains unclear how long the vehicle had been in the water.
