A three-alarm fire in Toronto’s Queen West area left one person injured Tuesday night.

Emergency crews were dispatched just before 8:50 p.m. to a home near Stafford Street and King Street West after reports of a large fire in a backyard. Firefighters arrived to heavy smoke and flames and quickly moved in to contain the blaze, which is believed to have spread to a neighbouring residence.

One adult suffered minor injuries and was taken to hospital by paramedics. A TTC bus was brought in to shelter residents displaced by the fire. Investigators have not yet determined how the fire started or the circumstances surrounding it.
