A horse and buggy collision in Southgate sent one person to hospital Sunday morning, prompting an investigation by Grey Bruce OPP.
Police said the two-vehicle crash occurred on Grey Road 23 at approximately 9:10 a.m. The buggy operator sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening, while no other injuries were reported, including to the horse.
Grey Road 23 was closed between Southgate Road 22 and Grey Road 9 during the initial investigation. The road reopened at approximately 3:30 p.m.
The 59-year-old driver of the motor vehicle was charged with careless driving causing bodily harm. Police say the investigation remains ongoing.
