A three-vehicle crash involving a transport truck on Highway 17 sent one person to hospital by air ambulance Monday evening.
The collision occurred around 5 p.m. east of Nairn Centre, prompting a two-hour closure of the highway between Ella Road and Ronka Road. According to the OPP, the driver of a passenger vehicle was airlifted to a Sudbury hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
The road reopened at 7:22 p.m. No charges have been laid, and the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
