A person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash overnight on Highway 89 in Cookstown.
Emergency crews responded to the scene just before midnight, prompting the closure of the highway between County Road 56 and King Street. The injured individual was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities have not yet released details about the cause of the collision. The road remained closed for several hours before reopening around 2:30 a.m. Thursday.
