A snowmobile crash in Wellesley left one person seriously injured Monday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a home on William Hastings Line around 4:30 p.m. Waterloo Regional Police reported that the injured individual was taken to a hospital outside the region with injuries considered serious but not life-threatening.

Traffic Services officers led the investigation and used a remotely piloted vehicle overnight to assist. The probe has since wrapped up, and police confirmed the snowmobile was the only property damaged in the incident.
