The westbound lanes of Highway 401 south of Guelph have reopened following a serious collision involving a commercial vehicle. Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that a person had to be extricated from a rolled-over commercial vehicle and was taken to the hospital with potentially life-altering injuries.
The incident occurred when a tractor-trailer rolled into a ditch. OPP’s Technical Collision Investigation team was on-site to assist with the investigation.
After being fully closed for investigation, most westbound lanes of Highway 401 at Highway 6 are now open, and the ramp from Highway 6 to westbound Highway 401 has also been reopened.
