Highway 11 has reopened after a collision involving a pickup truck and a transport truck north of North Bay on Sunday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police first shut down the highway in both directions near Sand Dam Road shortly before 9 a.m. due to the crash. One person was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
The closure stretched between Collins Drive in North Bay and Highway 64 in Marten River, with officers initially warning it could remain in place for several hours while crews handled the investigation and cleanup.
The roadway reopened shortly after 2 p.m. once work at the scene was completed. Police have not indicated whether any charges will be laid.
