A two-alarm fire broke out Sunday afternoon at a home in Toronto’s Rockcliffe-Smythe area, prompting an emergency response shortly before 3 p.m.

The blaze started on the third floor of a residence on Teston Boulevard, near Jane Street and Eglinton Avenue West, and was later brought under control as crews continued searching and checking for remaining hotspots.

All residents managed to exit the home safely. One individual, believed to be a bystander, was assessed at the scene and later taken to hospital with minor injuries. Early reports suggested someone may have climbed onto the roof to escape.

Firefighters remain on site conducting overhaul operations, while police have also responded. Several nearby roads have been closed, including sections of Rockcliffe Boulevard, Outlook Avenue, and Teston Boulevard.
