A Toronto police cruiser was involved in a collision in North York while officers were responding to a stolen vehicle investigation on Monday.
Police were called to the area of Sheppard Avenue West and Jane Street shortly before noon after receiving reports of a vehicle theft. Officers located the suspected stolen vehicle and attempted to stop it when a police vehicle became involved in a crash.
As a result of the incident, lane closures were put in place near Keele Street and Wilson Avenue, causing traffic delays in the area.
Authorities have not confirmed whether anyone was injured in the collision. However, paramedics reported transporting one person from the Keele and Wilson area, though it remains unclear if that individual was connected to the crash.
The circumstances surrounding the collision remain under investigation.
