A 52-year-old woman from Orton, Ontario, has been taken off the road after a late-night impaired hit-and-run incident north of Brampton. The collision occurred around 11 p.m. near County Road 109 and Highway 10 in Caledon, though no injuries were reported.

While responding to the scene, Ontario Provincial Police located the suspect’s vehicle in East Garafraxa. Upon stopping the driver, officers noted signs of impairment. She was subsequently charged with several offences, including impaired driving, failing to remain at the scene, and multiple vehicle documentation violations.

Her driver’s licence has been suspended and the vehicle impounded. She is expected to appear in court in Orangeville. The OPP used the incident to remind the public about the importance of planning ahead if consuming substances that impair driving.
