A 25-year-old Ottawa man is facing multiple charges after a vehicle crashed into the porch of a home in Almonte Monday evening.
Ontario Provincial Police were called to Martin Street South in Mississippi Mills Township shortly before 7 p.m. following reports of a collision.
Police later received a second report of a man near the hospital who allegedly tried to get into another vehicle before fleeing on foot. Officers located and arrested him nearby and determined he was the driver involved in the earlier crash.
The man has been charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, assault and mischief under $5,000.
He is scheduled to appear in court in November.
