A 19-year-old Ottawa man has died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 17 north of Renfrew early Friday morning.
Ontario Provincial Police from the Renfrew detachment responded to the crash at about 6:39 a.m., where they found both vehicles extensively damaged. The 19-year-old driver from Ottawa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate and are reconstructing the collision. As a result, Highway 17 remains closed in both directions between Storyland Road and Bruce Street in Horton Township while the investigation is underway.
