A 38-year-old woman has been charged after her minivan collided with two parked cars and a tree in Windsor’s east end.

The incident occurred shortly after 4:30 p.m. on May 27 in the 1800 block of Jefferson Boulevard. Police say the minivan was traveling southbound when it hit the parked vehicles, mounted the sidewalk, and struck a tree outside a residence.

A passenger in the minivan was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The parked cars were unoccupied but suffered heavy damage. The driver faces a charge of careless driving causing bodily harm, and the investigation is ongoing.
