A 54-year-old pedestrian suffered serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Woolwich on Wednesday evening.
The collision occurred shortly after 5 p.m. near Arthur Street North and Church Street East, involving a Chevrolet. The injured man was airlifted to a hospital outside the region for treatment.
The driver was not hurt. Police continue to investigate the incident and say charges are expected.
Authorities are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact the Traffic Services Unit or Crime Stoppers.
