A pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Tuesday has been charged in connection with the incident. According to Guelph Police, multiple witnesses saw a Kia SUV hit the man as he crossed Edinburgh Road South, near Manor Park Crescent, around 4:45 p.m. Officers found that the pedestrian had not used the nearby crosswalk, which was only 10 meters away.
The man suffered only minor injuries and did not require hospital treatment. He has been charged with failing to use a crosswalk under the Highway Traffic Act.
