Three pedestrians, including an infant, were seriously injured after being struck by an SUV in North York on Sunday evening.
Toronto Police say the collision happened just before 6 p.m. near Caledonia Road and Glengrove Avenue West, north of Glencairn Avenue. Responders found a woman in her 30s, her baby, and a man in his 20s at the scene with injuries.
The mother and infant were initially reported to have potentially life-threatening injuries, but both were later upgraded to non-life-threatening condition. The man, who was not related to them, was also hit in a marked crossing area and suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A fourth person was treated at the scene for minor injuries. The driver remained at the location, and investigators are examining the possibility of distracted driving, though no charges have been announced.
