A 73-year-old man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a truck in Scarborough Tuesday afternoon.
Toronto police responded to the area of Brimley Road and Progress Avenue at about 2:30 p.m. following reports of a pedestrian collision.
Police say a 36-year-old man was driving a white Ford F-550 through a commercial property when he attempted to turn left. The truck struck the 73-year-old pedestrian, who was walking in a marked crosswalk.
The injured man was transported to hospital in life-threatening condition. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The collision remains under investigation.
