A pedestrian was killed on Lincoln Alexander Parkway Thursday morning after being struck by a vehicle.

Hamilton Police Service say paramedics were called around 6:52 a.m. to the westbound lanes near the Garth Street overpass. Despite life-saving efforts, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene. No details about the victim or driver have been released.

Authorities are asking anyone with dashcam footage from the highway at that time to come forward. The roadway was closed from Upper James Street to Garth Street for several hours during the investigation but has since reopened.
