A 69-year-old man was left with life-threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Collingwood on Monday afternoon.
Police say the collision occurred at the intersection of High Street and Second Street. Emergency crews, including fire services, responded to the scene and the pedestrian was taken to hospital with critical injuries.
No other injuries were reported. As investigators worked at the scene, northbound lanes of High Street were initially shut down at Second Street and later closed between Second and Third streets.
Police advised the roadway would remain closed for an extended period while the investigation continues.
