A fatal collision in Orléans on Tuesday afternoon left one pedestrian dead and another critically injured. The incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. on Innes Road at Orchardview Avenue, where two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle, according to the Ottawa Police Service.

Emergency responders confirmed that one person died at the scene, while the other—a woman—was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The identities of the victims have not been released.

Paramedics also assessed three people from the vehicle involved and transported them to hospital for evaluation.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, Innes Road remains closed between Tenth Line Road and Portabello Road, causing major traffic delays in the area.
